Rouge Roastery is my brainchild to bring outstandingly extraordinarily fresh coffees to the Detroit area. As your Roastmaster
General, I will provide you with the freshest coffee you've ever tasted. I've been roasting coffee for family
and friends for about two years now and it is through this search for the perfect cup of coffee that I have established the
Rouge Roastery.
Essentially, I know two things
Firstly, I know a great cup of coffee. And I know that it doesn't start with beans bought at the grocery store. Yes, I've become the ultimate coffee snob. I've been known to bicycle many miles out of my way to get a good cup of coffee. And I've been known to crush freshly roasted beans with a cooking pot, because I forgot to grind them before leaving on a camping trip. But regardless, I've learned that a great cup of coffee is something that is to be savored and sought after wherever you are.
Secondly, I know coffee is the stuff of community. Whether sitting around the table after a great meal drinking a cappuccino with friends, or enjoying a hot cup of joe as you argue politics with your siblings, or slurping the last bit of your morning coffee as you & your buddy throw your legs over your bikes for the morning ride, coffee is a beverage that brings people together.
Coffee also has the power to build communities. From Fair Trade products that help build communities in South America with fair wages, to my modest pledge to use some of Rouge Roastery's profits to help community programs related to health, bicycling and youth.
My blog has plenty more info about our beans, our community, and our general train of thought: rougeroastery.blogspot.com
I do hope you'll give our beans a try and discover just how much flavor you're missing with your regular coffee!
